Regency Life is a browser-based text life simulation set in Regency England. Create a character, live their entire life, and pass the torch to the next generation. No installation needed, it runs entirely in your browser

Create Your Character Pick your gender and social class (Nobility, Gentry, Middling, or Working Class), each with different income, expectations, and opportunities. Your story begins in childhood and every formative event shapes who you become before you ever enter a ballroom.

Stats & Traits Eight stats: Health, Reputation, Charm, Virtue, Wit, Confidence, Composure, and Education. Up to four personality traits from a pool of 30+ (Charming, Scholarly, Reckless, Devout, Hot-Tempered, Cynical, and more) that actively modify your stats and colour how events unfold.

Social Life Attend balls, the theatre, the opera, and house parties. Take promenades, do charitable works, commission clothes, or host grand soirées. A scandal meter tracks how close you are to ruin — and consequences are real when it tips over.

Romance & Marriage Pursue formal courtships through letters, gifts, and dancing. Entertain secret liaisons at your own risk. Proposals have calculated acceptance chances based on your charm, reputation, class difference, and how much your prospect actually trusts you. Elope to Gretna Green, accept an arranged match, or be rejected and bear the humiliation. Pregnancy, illegitimate children, miscarriage, hasty marriages, widowhood, and straying spouses are all part of the story.

Finance Set your own lifestyle policies covering servants, clothing, transport, and entertainment. Overspend and debt escalates from restless creditors to sold heirlooms to friends who stop calling to the threat of debtor's prison. Inherit a title and estate when your father dies.

Property & Estate Improve your estate with a ballroom, library wing, stables, art gallery, chapel, and more. Purchase or rent additional properties across England. Unmarried women face period-accurate restrictions on what they can own independently.

Career & Education Attend university over three years to build Wit and Education. Take employment, earn promotions, and develop your character beyond the drawing room.

Children & Legacy Name your children at birth, raise them, react to their personality events, guide their education, and arrange their marriages. Their stats are inherited from both parents.
